“生命之盐”：地景，复调，余味

展览，是一次驻地旅行的表演，也是一种通过创作自我发现的观照。

在整整四个月的自贡火井沱考察创作驻留项目即将落下帷幕的时刻，在这样一个混杂咸味、辣味、热味、湿味的川南历史文化名地唤起重生的夏季，在旅居创作者对千年繁重劳动刻写出盐都印记的陌生感与自己身体反复析出的熟悉颗粒对话的半年之后，用一场艺术的筵席示现我们与这座城市的多元情感与时空想象。

地方性，是艺术家们在创作过程中不断面临的一种感知语汇，它也恰恰呼应了近些年来频繁出现的热词——地方性知识。初次到来的艺术家们携带间接的知识并与感官一道进入这个山中之城，在考察的过程中他（她）们的这些语义细胞与本地带领者的直接经验不断合成，形成新的地方认知，并输出为后来艺术化的“个体地方意象”。地景，这里是指自贡在每个人脑海中的独特景象，它既是地理的，也是人文的。在盐都显而易见的感官复写叙事中，“天空之城”似乎遥远又迷人，它一系列巨大的肢体抢入式的占据了视觉主位，却留下了不再生活的边缘残像。艺术家试图用声音记录这种消失的故事，以从另外的世界感受一种不同的故事书写，我们听到了地下某种气体的呼吸声，它与地上的叫卖声所锚定的图像几近无关，而后者是艺术家们更常为挪用的创作素材。除此之外，我们所闻的日常，似乎就是复调一般地充满着整个头腔，在感觉材料搅拌至极的那一刻，用辛味作为这一烹饪的收尾。但艺术家们却有着自己不同的味道王国，他（她）们已然偶遇了众多意想不到的人、事、物，并将这些精细消化，最终释放出此地万千的艺术余味。

An exhibition is both a performance during a residency and a means of self-discovery through creative practice. As the four-month Zigong Huojingtuo artistic residency project draws to a close, and as this historic site in southern Sichuan—imbued with complex flavors of saltiness, spiciness, heat, and moisture—embodies a renewed summer spirit, after six months of dialogue between the visiting artists' sense of unfamiliarity with the salt capital's legacy shaped by millennia of labor and their repeated encounters with the familiar textures of local life, we present an artistic feast that reveals our multifaceted emotions and space-time imaginings toward this city.

“生命之盐”

“盐”似乎是地方生命的起点和锚点；盐在这里既是物质，也是记忆，同样也融入日常。既连接自贡的工业历史，也进入今天的现代生活、身体经验与公共空间。

2026年6月27日，“生命之盐”自贡盐文化当代艺术展将在自流井老街开幕。本次展览为对角线计划“生命之盐”系列 1.0 与 2.0 两期自贡盐文化考察创作驻留项目的阶段性成果呈现，以当代艺术作品为主，包含装置、摄影、影像、现场艺术、文献展示及在地材料实验等多种形式，作品约 26 件/组。展览集中呈现 2026 年上半年围绕自贡盐文化、工业遗产、城市转型与社区记忆展开的考察、调研、创作与公共活动成果。

作为对角线计划 Diagonal 围绕自贡盐文化展开的阶段性艺术项目，本次展览汇集二十余位来自不同地区与背景的艺术家、研究者与创作者。我们以自贡城市盐文化为索引，进入盐业遗址、老街空间、工业社区、菜市场、釜溪河岸与日常生活场景之中，围绕盐文化发展、工业遗产、城市转型与社区记忆展开考察、调研、创作与交流。

“生命之盐”并不只是关于盐的文化历史的项目，而是一次以当代艺术重新进入地方当代文化现场的实践。艺术家们通过影像、装置、现场艺术、文献、材料实验和社会参与式艺术行动，将盐业遗产中的空间痕迹、劳动记忆、地方经验与当代感知重新编织在一起。

本次展览分为两个主要展区：自流井老街书店将呈现“生命之盐”自贡盐文化文献展和部分作品，围绕研究型艺术作品、项目调研、历史线索、地方叙事与公共资料展开；自流井老街 2 号馆则集中呈现“生命之盐”盐文化驻留成果展，作品将分布于展厅、楼道、户外公共区域、露台及面向河道的建筑空间中，使艺术作品与自流井老街的在地景观发生关系。

展览开幕当天将举行开幕致辞、导览及现场艺术呈现。部分驻留艺术家、项目团队、学术观察员、城市观察员以及来自本地和国内外的艺术、文化与研究领域嘉宾将共同来到现场，展开关于自贡盐文化、工业遗产与当代艺术实践的公共对话。

“生命之盐”是一次驻留成果展，即是研究文献展，也是一场关于自贡盐文化如何被重新感知、重新讲述、重新生成的艺术介入城市的项目。它试图通过艺术的方式，重新理解自贡这座城市的文化内涵，并在老街、社区与公共空间中，书写一段新的城市文化故事。

The Salt of Life

“Salt” seems to be both the beginning and anchor point of Zigong life. Salt is not only a material substance, but also a form of memory, deeply embedded in everyday life. It connects Zigong’s industrial history, entering contemporary life, bodily experience, and public space.

On 27 June 2026, The Salt of Life: Contemporary Art Exhibition on Zigong Salt Culture will open at Ziliujing Old Street. This exhibition presents the phased outcomes of Diagonal’s The Salt of Life 1.0 & 2.0: Zigong Salt Culture Research and Creation Residency Programmes. Centred on contemporary art, it includes installations, photography, film, live art, documentary displays, and site-specific material experiments, featuring approximately 26 works or groups of works. The exhibition brings together the outcomes of fieldwork, research, artistic creation, and public activities carried out in the first half of 2026 around Zigong’s salt culture, industrial heritage, urban transformation, and community memory.

关于对角线计划 About Diagonal

对角线计划，缘起从东北到西南的身体游走，游走构成了中国版图上一条从“草原森林平原”地区到“山地高地”地区的对应线，这条线也与当年胡焕庸的从东北黑河到西南腾冲线呼应。从自然地理到人文经济，从近百年前到当代社会，从农业传统到工业繁荣，我们试图寻找和关联共同的意象、符号、理念与精神，以艺术的形式呈现两个地区的多样风貌，实践与理论结合，并尝试总结一些有效的方法，以促进和影响在地生态的演进。

项目以多样的方式呈现，不限于分享会、艺术节、展览、工作坊、考察、驻留、出版等。对角线计划目前在四川省自贡市拥有线下空间群（火井沱创作者宿舍、盐空间、碳Studio 等），并与众多国内外机构与空间保持长期合作关系。

The Diagonal originated from the body from the northeast to the southwest, forming a corresponding line from the "grassland, forest plain" to the "mountain highland" area on the Chinese map, echoing Hu Huanyong's line from Heihe in the northeast to Tengchong in the southwest. From physical geography to human economy, from nearly a hundred years ago to contemporary society, from agricultural tradition to industrial prosperity, we try to find and relate common images, symbols, ideas and spirits, presenting the diverse features of the two regions in the form of art, combining practice and theory, and trying to summarize effective methods to promote and influence the evolution of local ecology.
